To generate and deliver your personalized daily intelligence, we collect the following information:

• Magazine Prompts: The text instructions, topics, and preferences you provide (e.g., "Summarize semiconductor supply chains and include links from tech blogs").
• Device Details: Basic configuration data (device language, time zone, OS version) necessary to run the application correctly and schedule background digests.
• Subscription Data: Status of your subscription (valid, expired, trial) processed securely via Apple StoreKit. We do not store or see credit card numbers or billing details.

2. How Your Data is Used

Your data is used strictly for generating and managing your magazines:

• To retrieve high-quality news sources relevant to your specific prompt.
• To compile summaries, sections, and editorials tailored to your guidelines.
• To schedule background tasks that assemble issues on your preferred schedule.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your prompts, reading habits, or search histories to advertisers or data brokers.

3. AI & Data Processing

Morning Edition leverages large language models (LLMs) to read sources and compile digests:

• Prompts and retrieved web articles are processed through secure API endpoints.
• We configure these requests with strict zero-data-retention parameters where possible. Our provider agreements prohibit them from using your prompts or content to train their future public models.

4. Storage and Security

Your generated issues and custom magazines are stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud container where possible. Any transmission between the app and our synthesis servers is encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS).

5. Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of sub-processors to power the app's features:
Apple Inc.: App Store transaction processing, iCloud synchronization, and crash log reporting.
Search & API Partners: Selected search engines and LLM providers used to fetch raw web sources and synthesize text in real time.

6. Children's Privacy

Morning Edition is not intended for or directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data. Within the Morning Edition application settings, you can delete your account, wipe all local history, and erase your saved magazine definitions at any time.
